Introduction to Blackboard

Welcome! Please Read these Instructions before you begin....

Blackboard is Morgan's Learning Management Software (LMS). You can use Blackboard to run a fully on-line course, or simply add your materials to enhance a face to face course.

The videos and print materials on this site will prepare you to use Blackboard. Faculty who plan to use Blackboard to enhance a face to face course should complete, at a minimum, the Getting Started with Blackboard material.

Important info hereFaculty who would like to teach online must complete all of the material in the Getting Started with Blackboard area (menu at left) as a prerequisite to the On-line Course Design Workshop. The other modules are also required, but can be done during the Course Design workshop itself.

Use the menu at the left side of the screen to select the topic you'd like to view. Or, within the Getting Started module, you can use the NEXT arrow at the bottom of the screen to move to the next topic, in sequence.

The videos you will see on this site are presented in a sample of video screensmaller viewing size and in an optional full screen mode. To start the video, click the Play button towards the bottom of the video window. If you prefer the full screen videos, click the link to Screencastomatic under each video. The full screen video will open in a new window -- click the X at the upper right side to close the window when you finish viewing.

You may need to allow pop-ups for this site. You will also need a Java enabled browser to view the videos. You will be prompted to download Java if you do not have it.

Please make your selection from the menu at left or use the NEXT button to move to the Tour of Blackboard page!next
