The Digital Drop Box
The Digital Drop Box is an older Blackboard tool, that still remains on the system. Students can turn in files to you by placing them in the digital drop box. You will need to access the files through the Digital Drop Box link in the Course Tools area of the Control Panel. If you are planning to grade the files, you will need to access the Grade Center and manually create a column there and then enter the grades.
Because the Drop Box has no connection with the Grade Center, it is a less efficient tool than the Assignment or SafeAssignment tools. Students will have to either return to their Drop Box or, if you have entered grades for the item, the My Grades area to see their grade.
